( NOT GOING TO POST SYNOPSIS BECAUSE IT CONTAINS SPOILERS BUT I WILL PUT THE TAKEN SYNOPSIS, YOU’RE WELCOME)

Taken

There are no men in Claysoot. There are boys—but every one of them vanishes at midnight on his eighteenth birthday. The ground shakes, the wind howls, a blinding light descends…and he’s gone.

They call it the Heist.

Gray Weathersby’s eighteenth birthday is mere months away, and he’s prepared to meet his fate–until he finds a strange note from his mother and starts to question everything he’s been raised to accept: the Council leaders and their obvious secrets. The Heist itself. And what lies beyond the Wall that surrounds Claysoot–a structure that no one can cross and survive.

Climbing the Wall is suicide, but what comes after the Heist could be worse. Should he sit back and wait to be taken–or risk everything on the hope of the other side?

I’m really looking forward to this book because I really like this trilogy. I first found this book on the EpicReads website. I found it at the library one day and I read it. I really enjoyed Taken and Frozen. This is one release i’m so excited for so let’s hope that this trilogy ends well. 🙂

Now Gray has joined a team of rebels on a harsh, icy journey in search of allies who can help them set things right. But in a world built on lies, Gray must constantly question whether any ally—or enemy—is truly what they seem…

Erin Bowman grew up in rural Connecticut, where she spent most of her childhood telling stories. It is rumored that her first words were not “Mama” or “Dada,” but “Once upon a time.” In middle school, when kids were going off to sleep-away camp for the summer, Erin was attending writing camp and penning short stories.

At the Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York, Erin studied web design (and minored in Creative Writing because she couldn’t stay away from stories). After several years working in advertising and designing websites for various brands, she has moved on to writing full-time. When not writing, she can often be found hiking, commenting on good typography, and obsessing over all things Harry Potter.

Erin is represented by Sara Crowe of Harvey Klinger, Inc. Taken is now available from HarperTeen, and the sequel, Frozen, will release April 15, 2014T. Erin lives in New Hampshire with her husband. Visit her online at embowman.com or on twitter @erin_bowman.
