Let’s Talk!: Breaking Beautiful by: Jennifer Shaw Wolf

Breaking Beautiful

Allie lost everything the night her boyfriend, Trip, died in a horrible car accident—including her memory of the event. As their small town mourns his death, Allie is afraid to remember because doing so means delving into what she’s kept hidden for so long: the horrible reality of their abusive relationship.

When the police reopen the investigation, it casts suspicion on Allie and her best friend, Blake, especially as their budding romance raises eyebrows around town. Allie knows she must tell the truth. Can she reach deep enough to remember that night so she can finally break free? Debut writer Jennifer Shaw Wolf takes readers on an emotional ride through the murky waters of love, shame, and, ultimately, forgiveness.

This book was so mysterious. I went into this expecting something entirely different. This was such a good book and I just loved how everything went down. I hope you enjoy this book if you do read it.

This book was pretty good. The plot was very captivating. The characters didn’t get very annoying and I thought this book was delivered well. This plot is so…dark and mysterious. ITS ABOUT A GIRL WHO FREAKIN LOST HER MEMORY THE NIGHT HER BOYFRIEND DIED!! Let’s skip to the ending. Allie finally confesses that Trip was abusive. She told the officer, Trip’s parents, her parents, and Hannah. [Can I just say how much I hate her. She is an ungrateful full bitch who still thinks Trip is perfect AFTER she see’s Allies scars.] Then Black confesses how he followed Trip and Allie [+Roger {I think}] and see’s him hit Allie, Then he gets in the car to follow Trip somewhere. [Sorry I read this book a little while ago and forgot some parts.] Andrew cut Trip’s brakes and Black jumps out with pretending-to-be-dead Allie. So we have everything situated now.Yay! I love at the ending how Trip’s mom got divorced and is happy again. i was just so mad that how the dad is abusive the their kids get influenced. It just sickens me how this happens in real life. Can i just say how much I love Caitlyn. She is the nicest person ever. I honestly really like her and Andrew together and how she wasn’t bothered by the fact that he was in a wheelchair and had problems. Ahh Blake Blake Blake Blake Blake. I love this dude. he has gone through so much and pain and he is such a kind person. Kind of. He was there for Allie and still cared for her during the Trip situation. Blake and Allie’s relationship was so messed up but they still pulled it off. The flashbacks were so…”woah”. I really enjoyed reading them because they were bits of Allie’s lost past.
